This was one of the first sketches in the series. Hotdogs Donkeys & Jesus Christ operated on the premiss that Fine Art need not live in a gallery but a sketchbook as well. I was never able to convince any galleries of this thesis. Being the first series to come out of the miasma of post-BFA life, this series, however unresolved and naive, retains a soft spot in my heart, partly because it reminds me of being a tool salesman during the day, and a symbolic sketch artist at night.
